Total Time 15 minutes

Ingredients:

1 Tablespoon olive oil

2 Tablespoons salted butter or Ghee

1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined

1 Tablespoon balsamic vinegar

2 Tablespoon ketchup- I substituted tomato sauce & sugar

1 ½ Tablespoons Sriracha- I don’t like spicy food, so I only added ⅛ teaspoon of crushed chili pepper – and it was delicious!

2 Tablespoons honey

½ teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon onion powder

chopped green onions or cilantro for garnish

Instructions:

Heat a non-stick skillet on medium heat.

Sweet and Spicy Shrimp

In a small bowl, add vinegar, ketchup, Sriracha (optional), honey, paprika and onion powder. Mix well.

Add the olive oil and the butter or Ghee and let it heat a moment.

Add shrimp and cook for 1 to 2 minutes or just until they start to turn pink.

Stir the shrimp, add the sauce and cook for another minute or until shrimp are fully cooked. Remove shrimp with a slotted spoon and keep warm in a bowl.

Continue to cook the sauce for another 5 minutes or until it starts to thicken. Place the shrimp on a serving dish then, pour sauce over shrimp.

Garnish with green onion or cilantro before serving. Have the toothpicks ready!
